Frequenty Asked Questions

Please contact us with any additional questions or concerns.

Telemedicine consultations are self-pay services.

Insurance is not currently accepted for telemedicine appointments.

However, our physical clinics located in Rome and Milan do accept insurance for in-person appointments. For more information please visit firstmedcenters.it

Please contact us to inquire about your concern. Our team is happy to evaluate whether your concern is treatable via telemedicine.

Until you hear back from us, we kindly ask you not to purchase an appointment for a concern that is not explicitly listed on the registration form.

Each consultation is dedicated to a single primary clinical concern.  The patient can select the appropriate specialty and concern from the list available on the registration form.

Telemedicine consultations for renewals are available for some prescription categories. These are listed on the appointment registration form under General Medicine > Prescription Renewals.

We ask that you provide a copy of your existing or most recent prescription.

Please note that prescription renewals cannot be guaranteed, as the issuance of any prescription is up to the discretion of the attending physician.

If the physician provides a prescription, it will be issued digitally.

  • While many pharmacies in Itay accept digital prescriptions, some may require a printed copy or even the original prescription. We recommend printing your prescription before going to the pharmacy.

  • If you are unable to print the prescription, you may need to try more than one pharmacy. Please note that the acceptance of digital prescriptions is determined by the pharmacy and is outside the clinic’s control.

  • If the medication requires an original prescription, the clinic can mail the prescription to you for an additional shipping fee determined by location and urgency.

Due to local regulations, consultations for medical certificates of any nature cannot be provided via Telemedicine. Including, but not limited to, a medical sports certificate, a fit-to-fly certificate, etc.

Alternatively, these can be evaluated in-person at our physical clinics based in Rome and Milan. For more information, please visit firstmedcenters.it

  • Please note that evaluation for a medical sports certificate requires an in-person appointment with cardiology not general medicine.

Due to local regulations, prescribing Paxlovid or Covid-19 anti-viral medication is not available via telemedicine.
